After completing all of her degrees she formed her own company where she is the founder and CEO of a new type of psychiatry which she coined–Plant Based Psychiatry™, that focuses on treating mental health as a result of brain health. This concept is used to create treatment plans that strengthen the brain muscle and therefore allow for better brain health, which in turn produces a more stable and healthy emotional state. Starting from that point, they utilize a variety of measures to find out if there are abnormalities in the brain and what treatments they can pursue, including utilizing changes in diet, exercise and supplements.
She plans to conduct lectures in the foreseeable future to help disseminate the basic principles of Plant Based Psychiatry™ throughout the country and internationally. She created Plant Based Psychiatry™ as an innovative solution to practically address the world's global mental health crisis by bringing hope to an outdated, toxic and stressed mental health system.
Having personal experience dealing with foster youth from an early age in her adolescence through volunteer work and throughout her college and medical career, through various community and other outreach programs, Dr. Verma is committed to working to help our nation's youth achieve their future goals.
She credits her success to her dedication to the field, as well as her utilization of social media to grow her practice.
