Since 2016, Ms. Simmons has found success as a realtor associate with Locations LLC, a Hawaiian real estate company. In this capacity, through which she has achieved sales figures normally attributed to more experienced agents, she is responsible for acting as an intermediary in negotiations between buyers and sellers, as well as conducting research on emerging market trends, advertising properties, accompanying prospective clients during visits and preparing contracts, among many other duties. Outside of her work with Locations LLC, Ms. Simmons has served as the president and chief executive officer of Komorebi Hawaii LLC since 2021.
Before her formal entry into the real estate industry, Ms. Simmons served for over two decades as an intelligence professional in the United States Navy. Throughout the length of her service, she conducted multiple deployments in support of conventional and special operations forces, distinguishing herself as a cryptologic analyst, language specialist, and counterterrorism expert. She was the recipient of multiple awards for her distinguished service.
Having spent the majority of her military career on Oahu, Ms. Simmons became very familiar with Hawaii's dynamic real estate market, purchasing, renovating, and selling multiple properties. Deciding that she needed to turn her personal passion into a professional career, she retired from the service and joined the dedicated team of professionals at Locations.
Well qualified in her field, Ms. Simmons holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Environmental and Interior Design from Chaminade University of Honolulu, as well as a green designation and a military relocation certification from the National Association of REALTORS. Ms. Simmons is also fluent in multiple languages, including Mandarin Chinese, Chavacano, Spanish, Tagalog, Tausug, and Yakan.
To remain aware of developments in the field, Ms. Simmons maintains affiliation with the Honolulu Board of REALTORS, the International Interior Design Association, and the American Society of Interior Designers. Outside of her vocational circles, she contributes on behalf of her local community as a member of the Locations Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Locations LLC. Ms. Simmons also serves as a volunteer with the Battleship Missouri Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, the Locations Foundation, and is a bridge member of the Honolulu Council of the Navy League.
Ms. Simmons has garnered several awards for her achievements in real estate, including recognition among the Locations' Excellence Circle in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Likewise, she was nominated for the Aloha Aina Award four times between 2018 and 2021, listed by Pacific Business News' Who's Who in Real Estate on five occasions between 2017 and 2021, and voted among the Best in Real Estate by Honolulu Magazine every year since 2017. In accounting for her success, Ms. Simmons credits her family's influence. Her mother has long stood as an inspiring example of unstoppable fortitude, while her husband and son consistently motivate her to excel in all that she does.
