Prior to transitioning into the construction industry, Ms. Goudy-Sigers served as a chemistry and physical science teacher in Jefferson County, Alabama for twenty-six years as an outstanding teacher earning awards & recognitions by allowing her students to participate in science fairs , and scientific papers writing contests throughout the Jefferson County areas.
Upon retirement from the Jefferson County School System, Ms. Goudy-Sigers was inspired by her desire to help her brother's construction business to become more profitable and organized. After handling a great of paperwork, expense, and receipts, they both realized the significant impact that she would have on the company if she joined him in a full- time capacity. As time progressed, her brother retired, and she continued with the company. While she is now contemplating retirement, leaving her daughter in control, Ms. Goudy-Sigers remains steadfast in ensuring that customer satisfaction remains at the forefront of company priorities.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Goudy-Sigers completed her ungraded degree from A& M University and continued her graduate degree at Dillard University in New Orleans and completed her graduate studies at the University of Alabama in Birmingham earning her Master and AA Certification Degrees in chemistry.
Ms. Goudy-Sigers is presently a member of many constructions' organizations and received awards throughout her tenure. She is active as a professional member of the Birmingham Construction Industry Authority (BCIA),Home Builders' Association, and the General Contractors Licensing Board. Recognizing her accomplishments, Ms. Goudy-Sigers was named the minority contractor of the year by Jefferson County Commission of Alabama for two years, the ousting contractor of the year by the BCIA for three years, and the minority recognition award as a general contractor by the Alabama Board of General Contractors for one year.
