Prior to joining Aclaimant, Mr. Pearce spent more than 25 years with Kelly Services Inc. in Troy, Michigan, culminating as the organization's chief risk, privacy, and compliance officer after having been promoted a few times over the years. During his tenure, he was successful in continually driving down the cost of risk. He also implemented practical programs that resulted in fewer people sustaining injuries on the job, including the organization's highly successful enterprise risk management program. Mr. Pearce also held the role of a risk financing manager for Trinity Health at the company's headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, from 1990 to 1993 and was the vice president for Marsh Inc. Detroit between 1981 and 1990.
Over the years, Mr. Pearce has contributed his expertise as the subject of several interviews on the topics of safety, risk management, and human resources. He has also authored numerous insurance risk management articles in various professional human resources publications. To support his industry, Mr. Pearce is a member and past president of the Detroit chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
Mr. Pearce received a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice at Michigan State University in 1979, followed by a Master of Business Administration in finance at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 1981. Additionally, he is a chartered property casualty underwriter. Mr. Pearce received several accolades for his devotion to the field, including a Golden Circle Award from Kelly Services Inc. in 2010, for which he later served as a Master of Ceremonies at the 2018 Global Leadership Convention.
