As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Harris has cultivated an interest in medical technology since her formative years, during which time she drew inspiration from the example of her own pediatrician. Her parents also encouraged her career aspirations as a medical technologist, and one of the books that Ms. Harris read in those years was a Mayo Clinic Medical Guide and Dictionary. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Madonna University and a Master of Science in biology from Oakland University. Throughout the course of her subsequent career, Ms. Harris is most proud to have studied protein electrophoresis and immunofixation, her two areas of expertise.

Following this period, she has served on behalf of the University of Chicago Medicine. In this capacity, Ms. Harris is responsible for releasing patient results to doctors and nurses, viewing lab results, performing chemistry work and assessing the prognosis and treatment course of patients that have multiple myeloma.
