An expert in public administration and marketing, Ms. Cohen is the chief executive officer for Lammie's Daycare Inc., a nonprofit organization that manages a free child care training program for the Business Outreach Center (BOC). Prior to beginning her career, she served honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps. Following her service, Ms. Cohen earned a Bachelor of Arts in marketing in 1993 and a Master of Arts in public administration from Long Island University in 2000.
In her present role with Lammie's Daycare Inc., Ms. Cohen teaches people how to start a home-based childcare business and raises funds to offer free workshops to the community. As part of her dedication to her field, she is a member of the American Society of Public Administrators. Ms. Cohen is also active as a volunteer member for the New York Community Board.
Although her business approach was changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Cohen plans to continue her work helping adults start or expand their own childcare business. She also intends to dedicate her time to traveling in the near future. In recognition of her stellar contributions to her community, Ms. Cohen was honored with a council citation.
