After attending senior district music festivals around Massachusetts, Mr. Asuque was inspired to pursue a career in music. In 2018, he earned a bachelor's degree in music education from Westfield State University before joining West Boylston Public Schools as a music teacher. Mr. Asuque also aspires to complete a Master of Fine Arts in choral conducting from Messiah University.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Asuque aligns himself with the National Association of Music Educators and was previously a member of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Dedicated to those less fortunate, he also donates to the Black Lives Matter Movement and gives blood via the American Red Cross. Within the next five years, Mr. Asuque aims to continue to teach music and eventually take that knowledge to the collegiate level.
