Donald Watson Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Entertainment

Mr. Watson lends years of expertise in the entertainment industry and in his work at Boston Town Crier Tours

    CHARLESTOWN, MA, May 06, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donald Watson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Before entering the field of filmmaking, Mr. Watson gained valuable professional expertise in the retail industry in the 1960s. After becoming disillusioned with sales, he met several actors at a local acting school where a play was being performed. Heeding a casting call, Mr. Watson signed up for the upcoming semester.

Since his early experiences in the field, Mr. Watson has worked as the owner of Boston Town Crier, a tour organization that leads tourists through the sights and history of the Freedom Trail. Having established the company in 1997, he has since distinguished himself as an effective guide and for his portrayal of James Otis and his performances of John Adams at theatres and distinguished hotels in the city of Boston. Throughout the course of his career, he has also directed and produced short films. These include "Let There Be Peace," and 15 episodes of the television series, "Whitey." Mr. Watson also produced the shorts "We Can Do Better America" and "Memory Lane" and acted in such shows as "Criminal Minds," "American Experience," "One Crazy Summer," "Kingman" and "Message in a Bottle." Donald has extensive theatre credits off Broadway and at regional theatres including the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, Millbrook Playhouse, and Charlestown Working Theatre.

An expert in his field, Mr. Watson studied at Emerson College and Drew University. In order to remain aware of ongoing changes in the industry, he aligns himself with the Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity. For his outstanding body of work, Boston Town Crier received an award for the Best Walking Tours of The Freedom Trail. Looking toward the future, Mr. Watson intends to continue producing films in LA, and continue providing walking tours on Boston's historic Freedom Trail.
