ROXBURY, CT, May 06, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Celebrated music industry executive Allen Kovac has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Kovac is a renowned industry leader, continuously recognized by his peers. In 2019, Sir Richard Branson honored him at the AIM Association of Independent Music Awards with special recognition for his innovation in the music industry. In his speech, Branson gave a powerful acknowledgment of Kovac's consistent ability to stay in touch with tech trends in the music space by saying, "Allen has innovated and tested the limits in marketing, social media, ticketing, streaming, sales, and reporting, benefiting the independent community and leveling the playing field between independents and the majors…Allen has always been ahead of the curve…he's brought data and branding closer to music."
A well-seasoned and multi-faceted entrepreneur, Mr. Kovac is the founder and chief executive officer of 10th Street Entertainment, a world-class artist management company and Better Noise Music (formerly known as Eleven Seven Records), an independent record label that has launched multiple multi-platinum #1 albums and singles from household names in the rock and alternative spaces.
Kovac's leadership, with global offices around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Paris, Sydney, Nashville, and more, has guided artist and brand development campaigns through the creation of music, books, films, documentaries, theatrical productions, tours and television. The current roster across Kovac's label and management initiatives include Mötley Crüe, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, AWOLNATION, Asking Alexandria, Dirty Heads, NOTHING MORE, The HU, Bad Wolves, and more.
Most recently, Mr. Kovac established a second division, Better Noise Films in 2019, which serves as a global independent entertainment company that develops feature films and other content, including Netflix's smash hit The Dirt, based on the Mötley Crüe autobiography of the same name. The production house is also behind the critically acclaimed horror-thriller feature The Retaliators, which is slated for a fall 2022 theatrical and digital release, following its global festival run. Kovac is also currently developing a stage musical adaptation of Nikki Sixx's New York Times best-selling memoir The Heroin Diaries, alongside Sixx. The project continues Kovac's advocacy work in bringing awareness to the opioid pandemic and helping artists stay clean on their paths to sobriety.
Kovac's ability to combine artist management, marketing, and storytelling across platforms has been evident and celebrated for much of his career. Most notably, he was presented with an Emmy Award for Best Documentary for Road to MSG: Mötley Crüe in 2010, for which he has a producing credit. His other documentary and filmed programming credits include Meat Loaf: In Search of Paradise, Mötley Crüe: All Excess Areas, Strong Enough to Break (Hanson), Jet: Live in the USA 2009, Hired Gun, and more.
Mr. Kovac began his career in 1974 upon founding TDA Productions. He subsequently founded and served as the chief executive officer of Left Bank Management from 1985 to 2002. Mr. Kovac also established 624 Music soon thereafter.
