Having garnered more than 25 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Grohschaedl was appointed the president for North America for Forbo Siegling LLC in Huntersville in 2019. In addition to overseeing daily North American operations, profit and loss, research and development, and other areas of the business, he provides strategic leadership and fosters collaboration throughout the organization. Since joining Forbo, Mr. Grohschaedl was also instrumental in the development and opening of one of its newest plants in Mexico.
Throughout the course of his extensive career, Mr. Grohschaedl became well-established in various areas of the business, including sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing and supply chain management. Prior to joining Forbo Siegling LLC, he found success for more than 20 years with REHAU, a premium brand that specializes in plastics manufacturing for construction, automotive and industrial applications. Hired in 1998 as an application engineer of window solutions in his home country in Vienna, he gained increasing responsibility over the years and subsequently accepted the titles of client consulting and training manager in 2002 and senior engineering manager in 2006. Mr. Grohschaedl later relocated to the U.S. in 2011, where he served as director and vice president of window solutions/division management in Leesburg, Virginia.
A dedicated civic advocate, Mr. Grohschaedl has often contributed to a local children's hospital. He also sponsors several children in Latin America. To prepare for his career, he earned a Master of Science in industrial engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt in Austria in 2005. Well qualified in his field, Mr. Grohschaedl previously earned his qualification as a master carpenter through the Master Guild of Austria in 1995.
