Jim Nonus Recognized by Marquis Who's Who

    GALVESTON, TX, May 12, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jim Nonus has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Drawing on over two decades of expertise, Mr. Nonus serves as a playwright and a gallery director. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he pursued coursework in fine arts at the University of Houston. As a commitment to his field, Mr. Nonus has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the Dramatists Guild of America, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, the Galveston Antique Dealers Association, the Strand Theater and the Laffite Society.

Mr. Nonus began his vocation as a playwright at Austin Macauley Publishers of Great Britain. He continued his occupation as the owner of Pirate's Alley, and subsequently as the Gallery Director of Eibands Gallery, as well as Simpsons on the Strand between 1993 and 2008. Since 2008, he has found much success as a gallery director at the Antique Pavilion. In his career-related endeavors, Mr. Nonus has authored such works as "Men in the Chorus" and "Tina Lake is Alive and Doing Well in the Vieux Carré."

Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Nonus is most proud of serving as the co-founder and president of the Laffite Society, in addition to his specialty as a fine arts dealer and a published playwright and lyricist. He attributes much of his success to his parents and family, especially his mother and grandmother. Looking toward the future, Mr. Nonus aspires to continue publishing his written work, including his children's book, Little Jimmy and The Pirate, which he hopes to publish and translate into five languages, an introduction to language for young students.
