NORTH CALDWELL, NJ, May 13, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Suzy Marotta has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Marotta earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology and education from Saint Peters University and went on to attain a Master of Arts in counseling from New Jersey City University in 1995. She subsequently earned a graduate certificate in special education, as well as certification in counseling from Caldwell University. She began her career as a special education teacher for eight years. For the past three decades, Ms. Marotta has served as a school counselor, internship coordinator and intervention and referral services coordinator for Belleville High School.

In her present role, Ms. Marotta works with students academically, emotionally and socially. In this respect, she assists in scheduling, academic programs and internships. When students are struggling, she meets with teachers and parents to help determine what resources they need in class and develop interventions to help them succeed. As part of her dedication to her field, she is a member of the American School Counselor Association. Passionate about her career and about helping children, Ms. Marotta believes each child needs proper guidance, support, care and patience to achieve their potential.

In recognition of her expertise, Ms. Marotta was named as the counselor of the year. She credits her success to the support she received from her family while pursuing her education, particularly from her parents. Having originally intended to become a teacher, she completed her psychology and education degree with that goal in mind. Encouraged by her advisor at Saint Peters University, Ms. Marotta attained a master's degree to further her career in education.

In addition to her career, Ms. Marotta contributes to her community by supporting soup kitchens and feeding the homeless. She also brought Christmas presents and Easter baskets to children with parents who are terminally ill, and visits children afflicted with AIDS and cancer in local hospitals. Looking toward the future, Ms. Marotta plans to continue her work as a counselor, as well as spend more time with her family.
