Jeanette M. Landin, EdD, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Dr. Landin serves as an associate professor in the department of professional studies at Landmark College



    BRATTLEBORO, VT, May 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeanette M. Landin, EdD, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Landin has been recognized for her leadership in education for more than 15 years. Having devoted much of her career to Landmark College in Brattleboro, Vermont, she serves as an associate professor in the professional studies department. Teaching numerous courses in accounting, business, marketing, communications, professional studies, and forensic accounting, Dr. Landin also functions as an internship supervisor and upper-division advisor.

In addition to teaching and supervising students on campus, Dr. Landin is affiliated with the college's WLMC radio station, which is led by her department and has been ranked as the number one college streaming radio station in the country. She previously served on the Landmark College Music Ensemble from 2017 to 2020 and was the director of the Committee for Academic Relations with the IMA from 2016 to 2018. Passionate about teaching college students that are often overlooked in the educational system due to various learning disabilities, Dr. Landin has notably developed curriculum specifically designed for those living with autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and attention deficit hyper disorder. She has also been recognized for incorporating various multi-model learning techniques in the classroom to better attach the learner to the concept.

Since 2013, Dr. Landin has lent her time and expertise as a member of the program advisory committee at Fortis College. Prior to joining Landmark College, she was an associate faculty member at John F. Kennedy University. She also held academic appointments at the University of Phoenix and Empire College. Looking toward the future, Dr. Landin aspires to obtain a full professorship at Landmark College.

Dr. Landin has become a frequent speaker at local, regional, national and international academic conferences. Widely published in her field, she has authored numerous books in her area of expertise. She recently released the eighth edition of "Payroll Accounting 2022" with co-author Paulette Schirmer through McGraw Hill educational publishers. Currently ranked number two in the U.S., it is one of only a few published books on the market that focuses on payroll accounting. Dr. Landin has also contributed articles to WalletHub, Western News Exchange, and the Journal of Doctoral Research in Education, and has served as a peer reviewer of accounting and business for Multimedia Education Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) and the Transnational Journal of Business, since 2015.

Dr. Landin has played an integral role as a parishioner at Saint Michael's Episcopal Church as a member of the endowment committee since 2020, as an outreach committee treasurer since 2016, and as assistant treasurer since 2015. She has also contributed to her local community by serving as an Eagle Scout and religious emblem reviewer for the Boy Scouts of America between 2004 and 2013.

An alumnus of the University of California at Irvine, Dr. Landin received a Bachelor of Arts in social ecology in 1988. She subsequently attended the University of Phoenix, where she completed a Master of Business Administration in 1999 and a Doctor of Education in education, curriculum, and instruction in 2011. Dr. Landin also earned a graduate certificate in accounting through the University of Phoenix in 2013 and a graduate certificate in autism spectrum disorders from Antioch University in 2015.

Among her numerous memberships, Dr. Landin is active with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Accounting Association, the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Future Business Leaders of America. She is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, where she has sat as a member of the committee for academic relations since 2013, and as the chair of the committee on academic relations since 2016. Additionally, the organization bestowed Dr. Landin with a Platinum Leadership Award in 2016.
