To prepare for his professional journey, Mr. Segovia Ruiz earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of West Florida in 2020 and completed an internship program in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation with Ascension the same year. In recognition of his excellent work, he was admitted to the president's lists for both the University of West Florida and Pensacola State College. As part of his dedication to his field, Mr. Segovia Ruiz is certified in adult and pediatric first aid by the American Red Cross and is a certified exercise physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine. He also holds a level II exercise in medicine credential from the American College of Sports Medicine.
Originally hailing from Mexico, Mr. Segovia Ruiz credits much of his success to surrounding himself with people from different backgrounds to help expand his own experiences. He has also received a great deal of support from his parents and his wife throughout the course of his education and career. Looking toward the future, Mr. Segovia Ruiz intends to complete his master's degree program in exercise science, through which he aspires to finish his research thesis on the effects of exercise on diabetes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
