Billy Pearson received the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Leadership in the County in 2021.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Pearson has authored a number of books, including "Chronicles of Hickory County," "Love and Mystery," "The Chemistry of Love," "Frontier Woman," "Winds of Strife," "Chronicles of a Cherokee Family," "Creatures" and "The Ugly, The Sweet, The Deadly."
An expert in his field, Mr. Pearson completed a year's worth of college coursework at the University of Missouri. Outside of his work, he contributes to his community as a member of Gideons International and the Bethal Assembly of God Church. For his outstanding achievements, Mr. Pearson has been honored on many occasions, earning an honorary state degree, a Third Place in the Nation Award, and the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Leadership in the County, which he received in 2021.
In a career that has been filled with highlights, Mr. Pearson is most proud to have won third place at a corn contest in the 1970s. Additionally, he is gratified to have spoken publically on behalf of Gideons International, judged the FFA speaking contest in Missouri, and to have been extensively involved in various leadership positions for the last 60 years. Looking toward the future, Mr. Pearson aspires to continue dedicating himself to others through Gideons International and his church.
