Francisco Da Costa has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Francisco Da Costa has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, Mr. Da Costa has been an environmental advocate in the San Francisco area for more than 40 years. Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, he completed coursework in philosophy and theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. Following this accomplishment, he served honorably in the U.S. military as a congressional liaison for the Department of Defense from 1988 until 2002. He was responsible for 12 western states in the Sixth Army, playing a key role in the logistics and planning for Desert Storm. He was also in charge of helping families all over the United States and other territories such as Guam. For his expertise and dedication, he was honored twice with Commander Awards by the Presidio of San Francisco in 1989.

Toward the end of his military service, Mr. Da Costa became the organizer for Environmental Justice Advocacy and was later promoted to the chief executive officer and director of the organization. To further his expertise in his field, he attained a Master of Education. He is also the founder and chief executive officer for the Southeast Sector Community Development Corporation, which he established in 2000. Outside of his main career path, Mr. Da Costa served as a member of the board of directors for the Unity Foundation.

In his present roles, Mr. Da Costa is responsible for making environmental impact reports on projects, primarily those that would adversely impact impoverished communities. He explains to developers when properties are contaminated and not suitable for the development of housing. He also works to advance community involvement in his initiatives, providing information to the public, training people in small groups and choosing leaders to help raise building standards.
