A dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Diebold has been serving the city of Pinellas, Florida, for several years. He began his civil service career in 1999 with Pinellas County as an inspector then quickly moved up within the organization before leaving the County in 2013 to pursue a job with Pinellas Park as a public works administrator. After eight years in this position, he then was promoted to the city manager in 2022. Having come of age as the son of a police officer and under the guidance of several coaches, he learned throughout his youth to work diligently and inspire others the way he was inspired. This provided him with unique experiences that led him to recognize his distinctive talents.
During his time as a public works administrator, Mr. Diebold was named recipient of the Good Government Award by the local Chamber of Commerce in 2017 and was named Public Works Director of the Year in West Coast Florida by the American Public Works Association in 2019. In addition to his main career, Mr. Diebold benefits his community by working with People Helping People and the Kiwanis Club. He also serves on the board for the Pace Center for Girls Pinellas and the local Chamber of Commerce. To remain aware of developments affecting his field, he is a member of the American Public Works Association and the International City Management Association.
