The following year, he worked with Citizen Securities and Investment Ltd as the managing director and chief executive officer, becoming the youngest person to hold such a role in investment banking in Bangladesh. In 2018, he took the same role with EBL Investments Ltd. until retiring from that company in 2021.
Since July 2021, Mr. Chowdhury has been the managing director and chief executive officer for Bengal Investments Ltd. In this capacity, he sets the strategic direction for the company and provides ongoing leadership to grow the business, developing many financial deals as part of the process. He negotiates takeover and merger deals and identifies potential individual and institutional investors who may be interested in their work, developing a wide network of relationships with current and potential clients. In recognition of his expertise, Mr. Chowdhury was admitted as a fellow to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom.
