Mr. Hemmer earned a Bachelor of Arts from Marquette, from which he graduated, summa cum laude, in 1964. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Laws from Harvard University in 1967, and eventually a Juris Doctor. A Wickersham Fellow as well as selection as a Fulbright Scholar, Mr. Hemmer approaches his goals with professionally honed focus. He has been cited for numerous successful cases and transactions during the duration of his career, and is particularly notable for helping a steel plant company save more than $25 million dollars.
Since coming of age, Mr. Hemmer cultivated an interest in philosophy and history and, in particular, pursuing an education at Harvard University Law School. An influential member of his field, he attributes his success to his work ethic, which he continues to apply to his endeavors. Likewise drawing upon a personal philosophy of altruism, Mr. Hemmer served the Church Federation of Chicago as the sole member of its Cabrini Green Legal Aid Clinic.
