An expert in healthcare supply chain operations, Dr. Ward has served as a leader in her field for more than 25 years. To prepare for her career, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in technology management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in management and organizational leadership, both from St. Petersburg College. Following these accomplishments, she began her career working in the insurance industry and subsequently became a supply chain operations specialist for BayCare Health System Inc. in 1996. In 2007, Dr. Ward secured a role as the supply chain director for HCA North and West Florida.
To gain further expertise in her field, Dr. Ward attained a Master of Science in supply chain management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2015 and a Doctor of Business Administration in global operations and supply chain management from Capella University in 2021. Since 2015, she has found success as the supply chain director for AdventHealth. In this capacity, she mentors her teammates and other colleagues in the hospital who aspire to advance in their careers.
Looking toward the future, Dr. Ward plans to become an adjunct professor and train the next generation of workers in supply chain management. By holding such a role, she hopes to inspire young professionals to work in the field of health care and advance the efficiency of supply chain management. She is also passionate about working to reduce the carbon footprint of health care on the environment and, to advance this goal, Dr. Ward invests in a variety of projects that may help the world yield more sustainable and green medical products.
