Billy G. Fowler, CPA, CDFM-A, MSS, MAcc, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    BATON ROUGE, LA, June 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Billy G. Fowler, CPA, CDFM-A, MSS, MAcc, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An expert in combat and sustaining base operations, Mr. Fowler has been a dedicated military and civilian professional for more than 50 years. He entered the Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1968, and to further his expertise in the military, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1972 and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama in 1988. He subsequently attained a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army Senior Service College graduating in 2008. Exceptionally qualified by in his field, he is a Certified Defense Financial Manager for Acquisition and Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Fowler served honorably with the U.S. Army. His uniformed service for over 23 years, and civilian service as a comptroller, for nearly 27 years. He is a qualified master parachutist, Airborne Ranger, and Special Forces Officer for the U.S. Army. Additionally, as a career contribution, he co-authored a strategic research paper while attending the U.S. Army War College. Serving in combat and sustaining base operations, he served with the Installation Management Agency, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, U.S. Army Japan, Southern European Task Force, U.S. Army Europe, U.S. Army Korea, U.S. Army South (Panama) which is every theater of operations the U.S. Army has been engaged in in the last 50 years.

In recognition of his dedicated service, Mr. Fowler was honored with many awards – his highest military award being the Legion of Merit from the U.S. Army and the highest civilian service award being the Civilian Meritorious Service. He is a lifetime member of the Special Forces Association. He served with distinction in the 1st Battalion 26th Infantry, 509th Airborne Battalion Combat Team, 7th Special Forces (ABN) leaving with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Transitioning to Army Civilian Service, he continued his education and refined his skills rising to the grade of GS-15 and served as a comptroller for major overseas commands before retiring in 2017 after nearly 50 combined years of military and civilian service with more than 20 years overseas of overseas service. He now resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and supports organizations like Tunnels to Towers and Children of the Fallen, serving veterans through the Special Forces Brotherhood MC a 501 C (19) charitable non-profit organization.
