After completing her undergraduate studies, Ms. Reczek attended the University of Brandeis School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Ms. Reczek clerked for various local firms. Ms. Reczek obtained a limited license to practice law before graduating from the school of law, and began practicing under that license before successfully passing the Kentucky Bar Exam on her first attempt.
As a licensed attorney at law, Ms. Reczek immediately began working as the Staff Attorney to Judge Christine Ward—a Jefferson County, Kentucky Family Court Judge. After working for the Court for several years, Ms. Reczek left the Court to start her own practice. Ms. Reczek is now an owner and partner of Reczek Chase Law, PLLC, where she practices law in the areas of family and business litigation. She belongs to various bar associations, including the National LGBT+ Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the National Association of Women Lawyers.
Ms. Reczek's practice is centered around several core values. First, Ms. Reczek believes that everyone deserves access to justice. She is committed to assisting victims of domestic violence with the legal representation they need to get the outcome they deserve. Second, Ms. Reczek is committed to providing access to justice for members of marginalized communities. One way she does this is by working with clients who identify as LGBTQ+ and/or have language barriers. Ms. Reczek believes that everyone deserves quality legal representation, no matter who they are or where they come from. Third, Julie believes in giving back to her community. She offers legal services to the Center for Women and Families and volunteers her time with Legal Aid to help those in need.
