He began working for Fidelity Investments in 2022 at the Flatiron Branch in NYC, where he hopes to flourish and grow as a professional. Hailing from a modest background, Mr. Forrler always strived to excel while prioritizing doing the right thing. Joe attributes much of his success to his strong work ethic. Previously, Mr. Forrler served in a similar role at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, where he was a member of the company's premier Advisor Development Program and MFSA Program. Joe was brought on to PH & Associates, a prominent Wealth Management Team at Merrill under the strong leadership and mentorship of tenured advisor Charles Paulos, CIMA® and Steve Hanwacker CFP®. "Charlie, Steve and the whole team took a chance on a hungry college kid, and I will forever be grateful for their mentorship and continued friendship. Key elements of his work included investment planning, retirement planning, estate planning, business development, lending for PPP loans and more. He began working for Merrill Lynch in 2019 as an intern while attending school, after which he transitioned to a full-time role after graduation. Prior to this period, Mr. Forrler functioned as an office coordinator for Grecio Financial Services.
Mr. Forrler attended New York University and earned a bachelor's degree with a concentration in Economics in 2019. Throughout the course of his academic efforts, he distinguished himself as a high jumper on the school varsity track and field team. Additional recognitions to his credit included being named a UAA Scholar Athlete and graduated NYU with honors. Before he transferred to New York University, Mr. Forrler attended The College of New Jersey for one year as a former all long island basketball player and received designation as a business honors student. Preceding his collegiate endeavors, Joe was a standout scholar athlete balancing school, sports and family.
In a career suffused with highlights, Mr. Forrler is proud to have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation. He also received a certificate in financial planning from New York University in 2020, and a personal investment advisor certification from Merrill Lynch in 2021. In addition, he bears a series 7- Top off license, series 66 license, securities industry essentials (SIE®) certification, and a life and health insurance license. Looking toward the future, Mr. Forrler hopes to continue expanding the scope of his services at Fidelity Investments under the strong leadership of Pat Okeefe, CFP® and Rich Gronske.
