NEWARK, CA, June 30, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Nancy Kerr Del Grande with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Ms. Del Grande celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A renowned physicist of more than 60 years, Ms. Del Grande has also served as the co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Geo-Temp Corporation since 1985. A specialist in subsurface imaging, her technology company offers accurate detection of objects below the ground's surface to clients in both the private and government sector, that are often undetectable. Using various thermal imaging methods to detect such structures, which display some of the clearest and most precise 3-D images in the industry, Ms. Del Grande also provides a full analysis of the subsequent reports by way of data analysis and surveying.

Ms. Del Grande spent the earlier stage of her career with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Acquired as a physicist in the spring of 1959, in a few short years she was responsible for designing and testing the first method ever devised by the laboratory to measure hot nuclear device temperatures. After a 40-year tenure at the LLNL, Ms. Del Grande left to expand operations at Geo-Temp Corporation, which had already been in business for several years.

As an extension of her work in the field of applied physics, Ms. Del Grande was involved by participating in a national symposium of the U.N. She was also a member of the International Symposium in Munich, Germany, and was appointed to a U.N. post at the University of Mexico. Outside of her main career path, Ms. Del Grande was an opera singer and the co-founder of the Livermore Valley Opera Company in Livermore, California, between 1964 and 1968.

Throughout the course of her professional career, Ms. Del Grande has garnered several U.S. and Canadian patents. She has also been recognized as the first female physicist to design and test several significant diagnostic experiments on a nuclear device at the Nevada Test Site. Furthermore, Ms. Del Grande has been responsible for designing, fielding and testing the effectiveness of Geo-Temp Corporation's DIRECT® Service for counterterrorism efforts.

As a seasoned researcher, Ms. Del Grande has contributed numerous articles to scientific journals as an author and co-author. She has also authored several other professional papers regarding the use of dual-band IR for geophysical exploration.

Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Del Grande received a Bachelor of Arts in physics at Mount Holyoke College in 1955. She subsequently earned a Master of Science in physics at Stanford University in 1957. Ms. Del Grande was ordained by the Breaker of Dawn Ministries at the International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem in 2004.

To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Ms. Del Grande is a member of the American Physical Society and the Society for Photo Industrial Engineering.

Fascinated by the field since she was a teenager, Ms. Del Grande attributes her success to her admiration for physics. She also finds constant inspiration in providing her expertise in the governmental sector and anticipates expanding Geo-Temp on a national level and eventually on a global scale.
