A seasoned business executive with more than 22 years of practiced expertise in marketing, business development and interpersonal relationships, Mr. Taylor presently excels as a business development manager for Ghirardelli Associates. Since joining the company in 2018, he has maintained client relationships, fostered the business' reputation, led and managed document preparation and proposals, and conducted meetings with division directors and project managers. As the business development manager for Northern California, Mr. Taylor has worked with clients such as Caltrans, and various local municipalities, transportation authorities, council of governments, cities and counties.
Over the years, Mr. Taylor has gained valuable expertise in the field as a business development associate with Michael Baker International and as a business development manager with GEOCON through which he expanded his experience in proposal preparation, market research and event coordination. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Taylor also worked as a marketing specialist in business development for Kleinfelder West, Inc., where he supervised multidisciplinary marketing efforts for multimillion-dollar projects, and as a marketing manager for Floor Service Supply Company Inc./Legend Corporation, through which he worked directly with the chief executive officer, vice president of purchasing and sales managers to create successful promotional campaigns.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Taylor received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State University, Stanislaus, in 1999. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, he has contributed to his community as treasurer for the South Bay Engineers' Club, co-secretary of the Caltrans Central Region Calmentor Program and through volunteer efforts at his church, where he managed the AWANA Program for children. Previously, he also served as president of the Sacramento chapter of the American Public Works Association in 2020.
To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Taylor has been honored with the Stan Wilkening Member of the Year Award through the Sacramento chapter of the American Public Works Association. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue on the same path as a business development manager.
