Prior to starting her private career, she served honorably with the U.S. Army National Guard in 1988. She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1999 and a Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University, previously Texas Wesleyan University, in 2002. In addition to becoming a registered nurse since 1992, Ms. Lehnert is certified in healthcare compliance and as a professional in healthcare quality.
Ms. Lehnert began her career working with Providence Health and Services. Since 2020, she has excelled as the vice president of compliance for North American Partners in Anesthesia. In this capacity, she ensures the company is compliant with healthcare standards, utilizing her expertise in medical malpractice defense and healthcare compliance. As part of her dedication to her field, she is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, the National Association for Healthcare Quality and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Moreover, Ms. Lehnert volunteers with Habitat for Humanity as well as her local church.
Ms. Lehnert credits her success to her professional flexibility, allowing herself the opportunity to change and improve at any turn in her career. She plans to continue her work while mentoring in her spare time and participating in more public speaking engagements.
