Since 2015, Ms. Dominioni has been the director of environmental health and safety for the Delaware River and Bay Authority.

An expert in working with chemicals and ergonomics, Ms. Dominioni has been a skilled environmental, industrial hygiene and safety professional for more than 25 years. Originally intending to become a chemical engineer, she realized environmental engineering was a more effective way to proactively serve her environment and improve her community. Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Engineering in environmental engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology in 1996 and a Master of Science in civil and environmental engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1999. Well qualified in her field, she is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). While pursuing her education, she began her career as a research assistant for the Stevens Institute of Technology in 1995 and was subsequently an environmental engineer for Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products between 1997 and 1998.
Following her graduation from Carnegie Mellon University, Ms. Dominioni worked in the environmental consulting field. She continued her career as a project/EHS manager for the Duquesne Light Company in 2002 and then obtained the role of environmental and industrial hygiene manager for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals from 2007 until 2012. During her tenure there, her site was honored with an Energy Star Award. She then took a role as a safety, environmental and security manager for Mars Drinks (a division of Mars, Inc.) in 2012, where she remained until 2015.
Since 2015, Ms. Dominioni has been the director of environmental health and safety for the Delaware River and Bay Authority. In this capacity, she is responsible for all environmental, health and safety programs for all operations within the organization, including bridges, ferry operations and airports. She monitors regulatory requirements from the U.S. Coast Guard, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, among others. She also manages the environmental staff and safety staff members, overseeing all projects and attending relevant meetings to review contractor safety plans that emerge for each project.
To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Ms. Dominioni is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals and the National Safety Council. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, she is a member of the Croda Chemical Community Action Committee.
Although she is currently in a leadership position, Ms. Dominioni maintains a passion and drive for learning and is consistently working to improve her skills, particularly as new regulations develop. One of her goals is to bring the Delaware River and Bay Authority further into sustainability. They are presently implementing electric vehicle charging stations and are planning to transition to utilizing solar energy. Looking toward the future, Ms. Dominioni intends to continue her work at the Authority while adding work in the consulting sector to be able to assist more people while continuing to refine her skills in the field.
