Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Ms. Hernandez garnered expertise with HRB Digital LLC, a prominent tax firm headquartered in Missouri, between 2009 and 2016. During her tenure, she maintained several responsibilities as an office manager, tax professional, and certifying accepting agent, and as the company's marketing coordinator. During an earlier stage of her career, Ms. Hernandez was a freelance model and gained experience in retail management.
Highly educated, Ms. Hernandez received an associate's degree in fashion and apparel design from Wade College in 1995. She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Arts in business management with a minor in accounting at Ashford University (now the University of Arizona Global Campus) in 2020. Well qualified in the field of taxation, as a Tax Practitioner has won several cases with IRS Letters Notice of Deficiency, one of them was Case completed: Notice of Deficiency 2021 Retired teacher received NOD with the amount of $115,000 including Interest and Penalties, after submitting evidence to the IRS Commissioner case completed with proposed refund of $192.00. She also holds several IRS credentials and received certification in ethics and due diligence in compliance with federal and state tax law. To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Hernandez serves as a member of the National Directory of Registered Tax Return Preparers and the National Notary Association.
In 2022, Ms. Hernandez was the recipient of an H-Town Women on the Move Award and was previously honored with a Second Place Award from The Galleria, Simon Property Group LP. Additionally, she was featured in the 2022 spring edition of Houstonia Magazine and the November 2021 edition of Voyage Houston Magazine in recognition of her career in entrepreneurship. Looking toward the future, Ms. Hernandez anticipates continued growth at NH Tax Services LLC, while also taking on the responsibility of mentoring and developing other businesses. With pending Bar Licenses, she intends to begin combining her tax return preparer practice with U.S. Tax Court representation for clients choosing to challenge Internal Revenue Service (IRS) determinations.
