Originally joining the company in 2000, Ms. Novak guides the company by hiring new staff members, facilitating sales meetings, handling finances and overseeing day to day operations.
Prior to joining her family's business, Ms. Novak cultivated a formal education, attending Indiana University Bloomington and earning a Bachelor of Science in resource management in 1997. After living in Los Angeles, California for a couple of years and working at a talent agency, she eventually returned home to join her father and her sister at their company. As a commitment to her profession, Ms. Novak and the business have maintained membership with several industry-related organizations, including the Better Business Bureau, Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. – who have recognized EF Marburger Fine Flooring with three Awards for Merit and Excellence – and the National Tile Contractors Association.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Novak was also a board member of the Fishers Chamber of Commerce between 2009 and 2015. In 2013, she became chairperson of the board, a position that she is notably proud to have achieved. To wit, she attributes much of her success to the guidance of her father Ronald, and her sister Kimberly. She also acknowledges her hardworking team, her ability to maintain the company's positive reputation and her supportive husband, Thomas. When she is not actively involved in her vocational duties, Ms. Novak enjoys hiking, kayaking, boating, fishing and watching movies with her family.
