In this capacity, she is responsible for providing direct patient care to the most critical patients in the hospital, which can be anywhere from one to three patients at a time depending on their acuity and stability. Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Ms. Reyes has been nominated for the Top Nurse Clinician award in 2022.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Reyes contributes her time and services to her local community church. Among her professional accomplishments, she is most proud of providing direct critical nursing care to a patient whose side she remained by during his medevac transportation to a neurological trauma center for a head injury he sustained from the impact of Hurricane Harvey. She attributes much of her success to her deep passion for her work, as well as the fact that she sincerely believes she was meant to serve as a nurse. Looking toward the future, Ms. Reyes aspires to expand the scope of her career by earning a master's degree in her specialty, and hopes to educate new nurses in the field.
