Louis F. Bangert Lauded for Excellence in Computer Science

Mr. Bangert channels years of expertise to his work with Raytheon Technologies



    SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ, July 22, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Louis F. Bangert has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

While enlisted in the military, Mr. Bangert developed an aptitude and affinity for computers and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a focus in computer engineering from California State University, East Bay. In the early 1990s, he began his career as a MTS-3 for Sterling Software, where he remained for four years before working as a senior software engineer for nCUBE and as a senior AST computer engineer for NASA Ames Research Center. Over the years, he has gained valuable expertise in executive engineering with such companies as Force10 Networks, CloudShield Technologies, Agere Systems, Cisco Systems and Motorola Inc.

Drawing on his vast knowledge, Mr. Bangert excels today as the principal software engineer for Raytheon Missiles and Defense at Raytheon Technologies. In order to remain aware of ongoing changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' Computer Society, as well as their design and test, and circuits and systems divisions; Singularity University at the NASA/Silicon Valley Ames Research Center Campus, along with colleagues, friends, and other numerous contacts throughout Silicon Valley. Throughout his career, he has contributed to various industry publications, including the "VME Realtime Distributed Environment and High Availability." Highlights of his work with NASA included an architectural design of a Real-Time Independent Operating Systems Interface providing a common OS infrastructure making it easier and quicker for team members to develop applications to run on multiple software and hardware platforms.

For his professional accomplishments, Mr. Bangert has been honored many times, accepting the NASA-Ames Honor Award, a Performance Award, and the Contractor Certificate of Excellence Achievement Award. In a career that has been filled with highlights, he is incredibly proud of working for the NASA-Ames Research Center and developing a product that communicated with various operating systems before publishing and presenting papers on his work at a major conference. In the coming years, Mr. Bangert aims to teach and conduct research, and review papers for the IEEE.
