HICKSVILLE, NY, July 22, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael D. Byrnes has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on more than 35 years of experience in construction management, project planning and environmental compliance, Mr. Byrnes presently excels as a senior industrial hygienist and radiation safety officer for Liro Program & Construction Management PC. In his dual roles, he handles asbestos abatement projects, visits job sites to ensure a safe workplace, oversees demolition work, liaises between contractors and owners, and writes daily reports regarding contractors' progress. In accounting for his success, Mr. Byrnes credits his intrinsic passion for the field of engineering.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Byrnes has participated in numerous projects on behalf of the New York City Transit Authority, including an on-call industrial hygiene contract with MTA Bridges and Tunnels, as well as other government agencies. Likewise, he served as a site inspector for the demolition of Fiterman Hall, which was severely damaged by debris by the collapse of the World Trade Center during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the American Industrial Hygiene Association, where he previously served as president of the Metro New York Local Section.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Byrnes earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Manhattan College in 1984. Subsequently, he expanded upon his education, becoming a certified industrial hygienist, a certified safety professional, a radiation safety officer, and an authorized OSHA outreach trainer. While his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in being involved in eight of the ten incinerator demolition projects in New York City. Similarly, he is proud to have obtained a hazardous materials contract through New York City Schools. Looking toward the future, Mr. Byrnes aims to continue enjoying the fruits of his profession.
