To further her expertise in the field, she received a master's degree in leadership, learning and cultures from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom in 2011, and Ms. Ming's bachelor's degree was earned at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas.
For nearly 15 years, Ms. Ming has served CedarBridge Academy as a primary middle and high school teacher, a position she also held in Bermuda for over 25 years prior to joining CedarBridge. She also held positions in the Newark Public School System, and Ms. Ming was on staff at a university for five years.
To commemorate her accomplishments as a teacher and mentor, Ms. Ming received the Teacher of the Year Award in 2008 as well as the Principal's Award. She also proudly conducted reading workshops in New Zealand and in New Orleans. Ultimately, she attributes her success to her love for children, her passionate approach to teaching and her dedication to purpose. She is proud of her broad proficiencies, which span across diverse specialties and age groups, and of her innovative pedagogical methods that have helped children maximize learning. Ms. Ming plans to continue working with students and fulfilling her volunteerism efforts with CASA, then perhaps transition into an administrative role to further direct and shape the educational mission.
