A specialist in the areas of private equity, real estate transactions and construction, Mr. McClay brings over 30 years of experience to his role as chief executive officer of Jet Black Management. He was inspired to enter the field by his parents, who conducted real estate business until his father passed away. Since 1990, Mr. McClay has been involved with real estate transactions totaling more than $150 million, including long-term buy and hold investments, rehabilitations and tenancy in common (TIC) properties.
Mr. McClay received his Colorado real estate license in 1995 and worked his way through his college studies while managing rental and rehab properties. After earning his Bachelor of Science in marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver (formerly Metropolitan State College), he went to work for one of the largest consulting companies in the Denver area, working for Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T and Comcast, as well as venture capitalists such as Vulcan Ventures. He went on to hold positions with such companies as Harmony Technology Services, Chess Consulting LLC and Falcon Consulting LLC before joining Jet Black Management in 2019.
While his career has been filled with memorable moments, Mr. McClay is especially proud of the relationships he has developed with his employees. Above all, he strives to give his staff the tools they need to succeed. Family is also of the utmost importance to Mr. McClay, and he sees his two children, Brice and Megan, as his greatest accomplishments. He enjoys being active with his community, whether with colleagues through the National Small Business Association or through civic activities such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Warrior Foundation.
