Theo R. Leverenz, PhD, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

An expert in organizational development, Dr. Leverenz has been a dedicated educator and skilled consultant for more than 30 years.

    GEORGETOWN, KY, July 28, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Theo R. Leverenz, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An expert in organizational development, Dr. Leverenz has been a dedicated educator and skilled consultant for more than 30 years. To prepare for his career, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Butler University in 1974 and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Kentucky in 1976. Later, he attained a Doctor of Philosophy in higher education policy studies and evaluation, also from the University of Kentucky in 1981.

While pursuing his education, Dr. Leverenz began his career in academia in 1976 as an instructor in the department of English at the University of Kentucky and later served as a research assistant to the director of the institution's independent study program. Subsequently, he became a senior research associate for the Appalachian Community Service Network (later called The Learning Channel), for which he played a role in designing and implementing general evaluations for all phases of network programming.

In 1983, Dr. Leverenz began working at Georgetown College in the role of dean of students for the student life division to which was added duties of managing the institution's Learning Skills Program and the Career Planning and Placement Center. He was later promoted to the role of director of institutional research and planning which included providing institutional information and technical support. He completed his tenure in 1999.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Leverenz has contributed articles in the field of higher education in such publications as the Journal of Educational Research, the ERIC Clearinghouse on Higher Education, On the Horizon, Academic Exchange Quarterly, Journal of College Student Personnel, and the University Journal of Business. He has presented papers to numerous professional organizations throughout the years.

Dr. Leverenz has enjoyed being a consultant in organizational development and planning for E.P.P.A. Consulting. In this capacity, he has provided services in organizational strategic planning and development, project management and coordination, team building, and research and needs assessments for his clients. In recognition of his work, he has received numerous honors and awards, including the Georgetown/Scott County (KY) Chamber of Commerce Jim Reid Community Service and Ambassador of the Year awards.

Dr. Leverenz has served on numerous corporate and organization boards. He was a member of the Center for the Written Word board of directors, the Cardome Center Advisory Board, a member and chair of the boards of the Scott County (Kentucky) Friends of the Library, the Scott County (Kentucky) Community Connection, Inc., the Scott County Arts Consortium, Inc. and has served as the executive director of the Scott County School System Citizens Advisory Committee.

A self-proclaimed "effective partner for planning ahead," Dr. Leverenz intends to slowly reduce his total number of clients, transition to a part-time schedule and focus on a well-deserved retirement. In his free time, he enjoys listening to bluegrass and playing the guitar and banjo.
