After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Wagner College and graduating from the Institute of Culinary Education, Mr. Schrader began his career in the culinary industry. After a time of professional service, he searched for another job in a similar field but he did not have much luck initially. While buying wine from the Sherry Lehmann Wine Shop, Mr. Schrader was offered a position as a sales associate which he held for four years.
In the aforementioned position, Mr. Schrader was able to learn more about wine, conduct tastings and attend lectures in his areas of expertise. He currently excels as a proprietor of Jean's Fine Wines and Spirits in Staten Island. As a qualified professional, Mr. Schrader obtained a Captain's Certificate from the Sommelier Society of America and an advanced certificate from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
Mr. Schrader was featured in the local newspaper for his expertise in wine and culinary arts. He is very proud that his religious path lies with the S.R.F., the Self Realization Fellowship. Throughout his career, he has attributed his professional success to a good foundation, having a mother, Linda and father, Richard, who have provided him with the necessary tools for success. In addition, he has been grateful for his mentors, teachers and the wine director of his culinary school, Ron Ciavolino, who shaped his appreciation for food and wine. He also considers himself fortunate that he met his love, Migdalia Jimenez, a wine educator, too, who has provided him with much inspiration and support. Looking toward the future, Mr. Schrader plans to build upon his current business in the digital space while expanding his current location.
