As a managing partner there, he provides mentorship and sales support across the retail platform, and at Aura, Mr. McIntosh collaborates on operationalizing delegated underwriting authority programs.
Previous executive appointments include roles as the chief executive officer of Mission West Insurance Solutions, Inc. Other valuable industry experience includes a position as the senior vice president and managing director of the Property and Casualty Division of First Foundation Inc., from 2015 to 2018, and as a client executive at Barney and Barney, a subsidiary of Marsh and McLennan Agency LLC, from 2013 until 2015. Prior to these notable accomplishments, Mr. McIntosh worked at KRM Risk Management as a program director and senior underwriter from 2006 to 2012, and he was the chief executive officer of McIntosh Funding Group from 2004 until 2006.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. McIntosh attended the University of Southern California. He holds relevant professional credentials, including an Associate in Underwriting, construction risk insurance specialist, a cyber insurance specialist and is a certified Zenith Workers Compensation expert. Mr. McIntosh has proudly accepted multiple commendations for his successful business practices, including being named to Insurance Business America's Hot 100 Winners list in 2020 and 2022, and named to Insurance Business Global 100 list in 2022.
Hailing from a family of leaders in the insurance business, Mr. McIntosh attributes his success to that legacy as well as to the support of his positive and productive team. He counts both his grandfather and his father, who gave him the chance to gain real-world business and sales experience, as superb role models. He was able to watch them achieve success in the insurance field and provide excellent care for both their immediate and extended families. Mr. McIntosh is also grateful to have worked among talented colleagues and to in turn support and mentor others in the profession.
Mr. McIntosh aims to be among the best in newly launched program initiatives and to scale the business to meet future objectives in terms of profitability for trading partners and associates.
