A leader in medical aesthetic business development, Ms. Kosor serves as chief operating officer of Beauty Bar Medispa, a medical spa that provides patients with nonsurgical medical aesthetic services, such as injectable fillers, lasers and medical facials. An enthusiastic problem-solver, she is experienced in numerous areas adjacent to her work, including entrepreneurship, sales and marketing, trade show optimization and client relationship management.
Ms. Kosor entered her career in the aesthetics industry as regional director for Hylunia-Hymed, where she worked for a rocket scientist and cosmetic chemist who created the first line of hyaluronic acid-based skin care. In this role, Ms. Kosor traveled across the United States presenting at seminars regarding the novel technology to plastic surgeons, dermatologists and esthetician nurses, educating them about the dynamics of skin conditions and the general cosmetic chemistry industry.
Ms. Kosor continued her career by serving as vice president of a national laser company, DermaMed USA. DermaMed USA advanced to #1 in the industry within its first year becoming a multi-million dollar company. After excelling for three years as director of operations for Drift Beauty & Wellness Spa, Ms. Kosor acquired the role of chief operating officer of Beauty Bar Medispa, a position she has held since 2017. Furthermore, Ms. Kosor owned and operated a marketing and social media consultancy, CK Consulting, from 2008 to 2011.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Kosor studied dental hygiene at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, and obtained a 600-hour esthetician license from Lenoir Community College in Kinston, North Carolina. She has also completed coursework in marketing at Harvard Business School.
Ms. Kosor attributes her success to her drive, excellent mentorship, industry experience and business acumen. She is especially proud to have advanced in her industry and built companies from their foundations. Recently, she was proud to join the Forbes Executive Business Council, an invitation-only community for successful business owners and leaders. Looking toward the future, she is excited to expand her business, begin consulting, and become more involved in helping Daughters of Worth, a nonprofit organization, which involves building a safe house within her community.
Ms. Kosor believes that to be successful, one must give back to the community. An animal lover, she volunteers at the Pitt County Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, and she serves as chairman of the board for the Daughters of Worth organization. Additionally, she participates in a program that markets skin care products and donates a portion of the proceeds to charity. This program has enabled Ms. Kosor to donate $12,000 to NC Stop Human Trafficking.
Ms. Kosor's two children, Christopher Bruno and Liza Bruno are her motivation and inspiration to lead by example.
