Ms. Wright serves as a finance manager and client adviser for BMW of Albany/Albany Motorcars in Albany, Georgia, having joined the team in 2020. In her role, she is responsible for providing customers with various financing options and interest rates from lending institutions and serving as a liaison between finance companies and the car dealership during the car sales process.
Ms. Wright previously spent over 15 years in public service, beginning as a patrol officer and progressing to a lieutenant for the Drug Unit for the Dougherty County Police Department. Later, she joined Southwest Georgia Regional Airport as a safety officer and subsequently served as a lieutenant investigator for the Dougherty County District Attorney's Office, after which she transitioned to a Litigation Investigator for the city of Albany Attorney's Office. Inspired to enter law enforcement at an early age, Ms. Wright recalls witnessing a drug bust that occurred in her neighborhood and was fascinated by how the police officers were able to conduct the operation. Inspired by that memory, Ms. Wright steered her career ambitions accordingly.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Wright serves as a committee member for the CTAE Dream Team, as a former board member for Girls Inc., and as the former vice president of Queens R Us. She is also a parishioner at Saints of God House of Worship under the leadership of her mother, Virginia Wright, where she serves with passion directing and composing songs for the choir, youth mentor, event coordinator, and playwright. Most notably, Ms. Wright is the founder and chief executive officer of Albany Twin Storm Relief Fund Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to those in need of disaster relief and humanitarian aid. Ms. Wright achieved a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Albany State University in 2008 and a Master of Science in forensic psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2012. She will complete a Doctor of Philosophy in forensic psychology in the near future. Ms. Wright also holds certifications as a massage therapist and as a nationally certified firefighter.
In light of her achievements, Ms. Wright was named 40 Under 40 for the City of Albany in 2016, as the Citizen of the Year by the Albany Police Department in 2020 and as an Amazing Woman of the Year by the Albany Herald in both 2021 and 2022. In accounting for her success, she credits the influence of her mother, Virginia Wright, whose support has been foundational to her accomplishments.
