During the early stages of her career, Ms. Daniel and her husband were a pairs skater who created an artistic skating program for students. After taking dance lessons to help foster her skating skills, she was approached by numerous people who also wanted to enhance their skating skills with dance training. Supported by nearly four and a half decades of dance experience, she presently excels as the owner of Upper Falls Dance Academy, where she offers dance lessons in the art of classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop and modern dance. In her capacity as owner, she oversees all aspects of running a business which also includes maintaining the building and the property.
An expert in her field, Ms. Daniel holds a teacher's diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance, which she earned in 1989. Outside of her work, she contributes to her community as a volunteer with the Fallston Commons Community Center. Similarly, she has devoted her time and energy to various assisted living centers and participated in local parades, as well as fundraised for a number of charities. Previously, she also served as the chairperson of the Mid-Atlantic region of the Royal Academy of Dance, where she maintained responsibility for organizing workshops and educational opportunities for both dancers and instructors.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Daniel takes the most pride in the fact that three of her previous students are now teaching alongside her. Though her propensity for hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she attributes much of her success to the family-oriented way in which she has managed her business. Within the next three to five years, Ms. Daniel intends to remain involved in dance by teaching and mentoring upcoming students.
