Mr. Morehouse held numerous roles within the United States Air Force over the course of 25 years in Tucson, AZ; Sumter, SC; Doha, Qatar; Fairfield, CA; Anchorage, AK and Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD. He has performed duties as an aircraft maintenance operations senior director, senior enlisted leader, aircraft maintenance & logistics deputy director, director and senior director, senior manager of maintenance operations, aircraft maintenance unit superintendent (C-17, E-3), master instructor/production supervisor, and B-1B instrument and flight control technician.
In 2008, he obtained an associate's degree in avionics maintenance technology and an associate's degree in educational and instructional technology from the Community College of the Air Force. In 2019, Mr. Morehouse furthered his formal education and earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary leadership summa cum laude from Trident University International. Mr. Morehouse is certified in advanced maintenance and munitions operations, jet engine mishap investigation, air education and training, and instructional systems development. He also holds occupational instructor certification.
In recognition of his service, Mr. Morehouse received a Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award with one oak leaf cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with valor device, silver oak leaf cluster and three bronze oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal, and Air Force Expeditionary Service Medal with gold border with two oak leaf clusters. He was also recognized with the PAC AF Lew Allen, Jr. Trophy (2014), (2000) Airman Specialist of the Year, 37th Bomb Squadron, Ellsworth AFB, S.D., (2001) Airman of the Year, 37th Bomb Squadron, Ellsworth AFB, S.D., (2002) Innovator of the Year Award, 28th Bomb Wing, Ellsworth AFB, S.D., (2004) Lieutenant General Leo Marquez Award, 28th Bomb Wing, Ellsworth AFB, S.D., (2006) Lieutenant General Leo Marquez Award, 28th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Ellsworth AFB, S.D., (2006) Maintenance Professional of the Year, 28th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Ellsworth AFB, S.D., (2009) SNCO Instructor of the Year, 372nd Training Squadron, Sheppard AFB, Texas, (2009) Lieutenant General Leo Marquez Award, 82nd Training Wing, Sheppard AFB, Texas, (2010) Lance P. Mr. Morehouse has volunteered with The United Way and is a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association. He considers having served in the military for 25 years to be his greatest achievement. He is proud of having exhibited leadership over the course of the numerous opportunities that he received during this time. He attributes his success to his teams and mentors.
