An award-winning syndicated radio producer, author and spiritual thought leader, Ms. Toms is recognized for her governance as co-founder, executive director and host of New Dimensions Radio. The series is distributed to public radio stations throughout the United States and features interviews with the world's most influential voices on perennial wisdom, spirituality, and personal and cultural change. Ms. Toms was honored for her accomplishments by being inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2011, and she is an award recipient from the Institute of Religious Science.

Ms. Toms has also hosted the radio series "In Her Company: Deep Dialogues with Women of Wisdom" and co-produced award-winning series, such as "Bioneers: Revolution from the Heart of Nature" and "Deep Ecology for the 21st Century." She is the author of "Small Pleasures: Finding Grace in a Chaotic World," released by Hampton Roads Publishing in 2008, and co-author of "True Work: Doing What You Love and Loving What You Do," published by Harmony/Rodale in 1998. She also leads workshops that teach people how to live more purposeful lives.
Ms. Toms' skill as a broadcaster was born of her academic journey, which began with a Bachelor of Education from Auburn University in 1967. She went on to be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, now Sofia University, in 2009. An active member of her community, Ms. Toms is a founding convener of The Millionth Circle Initiative, an international volunteer organization of women who believe that non-hierarchical or circular relationships are the means through which the world can be repaired. Moreover, she sits on the boards of World Prayers and Women's Perspective.
