She also contributes to a positive, productive workplace by serving as a panelist on the Florida Nurse Anesthetist Association's Black History Month seminar designed to encourage diversity in the field of anesthesia. With a singular focus on fitness and wellbeing, she exercises to remain fit and participates as an athlete in various Strong Woman contests; to wit, she won second place in a National Masters Middleweight Championship and hopes to one day compete in the Arnold Sports Festival. Additionally, Ms. Barber is currently at work on her second poetry book, and looks forward to future opportunities to support young professionals as they advance in their careers.
