Audrey C. Ortberg has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Ms. Ortberg is recognized for her expertise as a musician and educator



An accomplished musician, Ms. Ortberg plays the viola with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, the Powder River Symphony and the Fremont Symphony Orchestra.

    CASPER, WY, August 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Audrey C. Ortberg has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An expert in viola and string instruments, Ms. Ortberg has been a dedicated music educator for more than 20 years. Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in music education from the University of Wyoming in 2001. A national board-certified teacher, she began her career as a private violin and viola teacher before becoming a music educator for Natrona County Schools in 2008, where she continues to the present. In her first six years with the school district, Ms. Ortberg taught beginning strings at 17 different elementary schools. She also participates in the curriculum committee for the Fine and Performing Arts department of the school district. In 2014, Ms. Ortberg joined CY Middle School as the orchestra and music appreciation teacher and conducts a before-school club called Rockestra.

To gain further expertise in her profession, Ms. Ortberg attained a Master of Arts in music education from the University of Wyoming in 2015. She serves as the lead teacher for the fine and performing arts department of the school and teaches five classes daily, including orchestra for sixth through eighth grade students and two music appreciation classes for seventh and eighth grade students. She also is a member of the school leadership team and collaborates with groups and staff for school concerts and events. To remain aware of developments affecting her field, she is a member of the American String Teachers Association and the National Association for Music Education.

An accomplished musician, Ms. Ortberg plays the viola with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, the Powder River Symphony and the Fremont Symphony Orchestra. She is the state president of the Wyoming chapter of the American String Teachers Association and is the current state orchestra vice president for the Wyoming Music Educators Association.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Ortberg's goal is to become a principal of a middle school or an assistant principal at a high school. As part of this ambition, she is currently pursuing a Master of Science in educational leadership at the University of Wyoming.
