As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Samick has earned distinction as the program director for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Fayette County Inc., a Pennsylvania-based chapter of CASA and nonprofit organization that seeks to support the efforts of court-appointed advocates for children who have suffered from abuse or neglect. In this capacity, his responsibilities include the recruitment and training of volunteers, as well as close collaboration with the court system, youth and their families, and other organizations. In addition, he is charged with budget supervision and fundraising, as well as the creation of programs, policies and procedures that best uphold the interests of those the organization was created to serve.

Mr. Samick initially became involved in his profession via Merakey (formerly known as NHS Human Services Inc.), for which he worked as an emotional support classroom teacher and family care program coordinator between 2010 and 2012.

Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Samick attended Saint Vincent College, where he initially studied history and secondary education and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2003. Following this accomplishment, he graduated with a Master of Science in education, with a focus on curriculum and instruction, in 2005. Well qualified in his current career endeavors, Mr. Samick also holds an executive certificate in children's law and policy from Loyola University Chicago.

Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Samick has served as an assistant fire chief at the Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Department, having also volunteered on behalf of the fire department at Saint Vincent College. As a testament of his dedication to the community, he maintains his affiliation with the Fayette County Community Leadership Team, as well as the local Human Services Council, the Westmoreland County Firefighters Association, the Fayette County Youth Leadership Program and the Fayette County Suicide Prevention Task Force. Additionally, Mr. Samick is a member of the honorable society of Kappa Delta Pi.

Noted for his achievements, Mr. Samick has received several accolades, including a certificate from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizens Academy Alumni Association, and a Citation for Bravery from Westmoreland County. In accounting for his success, he credits the strength of his upbringing, which instilled within him the determination to work tirelessly toward his goals. Among his career highlights, he is most proud to have stood as a guiding light for the advocates under his tutelage, and the children for whom they all serve. Looking toward the future, Mr. Samick aspires to shepherd the CASA program in Fayette County toward success.
