Upon earning a bachelor's degree in environmental science and management from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Science in environmental science from Oregon State University, Ms. Cullen joined Clean Harbors as a technical service representative. Between 2006 and 2007, she reviewed and approved clients' waste profiles for disposal and determined the lowest cost disposals for hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. Subsequently, Ms. Cullen served in the same role with Veolia for eight years, during which time she opened, managed and closed approximately 50 EHS-regulated waste-related projects.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Cullen also gained valuable expertise in the field as an EHS specialist and security crisis management lead for General Electric, where she administered the asbestos and lead paint program, as well as overall site compliance. Likewise, she worked as an EHS manager for Unistress Corp, through which she maintained OSHA compliance programs and project compliance matters. Drawing on her considerable experience, she presently excels as an EHS manager for Whirlpool Corporation. Since joining the company in 2018, she has managed all companywide safety initiatives, implemented safety training and compliance inspections and performed special auditing projects with cross-functional teams.
In conjunction with her work, Ms. Cullen aligns herself with the Internal Women's Organization at Whirlpool and devotes herself to others through the Berkshire United Way, where she is an employee campaign coordinator. Though her career has been filled with highlights, she is most proud of taking on a management role with Whirlpool Corporation. Looking toward the future, Ms. Cullen intends to raise her three children, strengthen her professional network and advance within the company.
