For over 15 years, Mr. Purani has found success as an employee of International Business Machines (IBM). He began his tenure with IBM in 2007, at which point he was employed as a principal enterprise integration architect for over a decade. Thereafter, he was elevated to the position of data leader in next generation enterprise applications. Since 2019, he has worked as an associate partner and chief data executive of systems applications and products for IBM.
Having earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Purani's area of expertise is in data and innovation. He has extensive experience working with data cycles that include, data quality, data migration, data integration, governance and analytics. In his current role, he is responsible for guiding IBM businesses and clients through their use of data, helping them make informed decisions, implementing and managing data and helping with technology and processes. Mr. Purani is also a member of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and DAMA International, the Global Data Management Community.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Purani garnered experience as a senior solution technical architect for Air Products, a role in which he managed enterprise applications and implementation globally. Additionally, was recruited as a member of the adjunct faculty in computer information systems for Lehigh Carbon Community College. Passionate about mentoring and coaching Robotics and Data Science, Mr. Purani was active as the coach of a children's robotics team for First Lego League, an independent organization supported by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, for four years.
An expert in his field, Mr. Purani has been recognized for his work. In 2019, EnterpriseHub notably presented him with the Enterprise Application Innovation Award for Data Management Solutions.
