Upon earning a bachelor's degree in sociology and communications with a minor in Mexican American studies from Boise State University in 2000, Ms. Duffy began her career as a regulatory coordinator for Advanced Clinical Research, where she also served as clinical research coordinator. In her work with Advanced Clinical Research, she liaised with principal investigators on groundbreaking clinical trials and refined her expertise in patient care. Following these appointments, Ms. Duffy gained valuable expertise in medical research as a clinical research coordinator with Intermountain Orthopedics, in the research department for The Woman's Clinic and in the cardiology research department at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
Between 2017 and 2021, Ms. Duffy worked as a senior clinical research associate for Health Decision before joining Premier Research. As associate director of clinical operations, she maintains responsibility for short- and long-term goals, serves as the global functional line manager for clinical operations managers in the United States and Europe, reviews the performance and delivery of the clinical operations team and oversees the reporting for ongoing clinical operations, staff performance, and quality and utilization metrics. An expert in her field, Ms. Duffy has expanded upon her education by pursuing a master's degree and becoming a certified clinical research coordinator through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
To commemorate her accomplishments, Ms. Duffy was inducted into Pi Kappa Delta, a Collegiate Speech and Debate Honorary Society. In a career filled with highlights, she is most proud of being the first person in her family and extended family to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Looking toward the future, Ms. Duffy intends to create a more inclusive and diverse clinical research industry to ensure that everyone "has a seat at the table."
