Additionally, Ms. Skaf has served as an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University, where she teaches courses on Operations Management, Mathematics and Business Intelligence. Currently, Ms. Skaf serves as the Interim CEO of Heaton Eye Associates in Tyler, Tx while maintaining both business endeavors.
Having long searched for an effective solution to stress and anxiety throughout her 20-year tenure as a corporate executive, Ms. Skaf has distinguished herself as the owner of Body Wisdom Breakthru, a health and wellness program that aims to promote the benefits of positive lifestyle changes. Combining her love for yoga and dance with nutritional counseling, she has succeeded in shepherding various clients on their journeys toward weight loss, reduced anxiety and a greater sense of fulfillment. Initially joining Body Wisdom as its first coach, Ms. Skaf developed a deep passion for the program and rose to become the eventual owner of the company.
Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. Skaf worked as a healthcare executive, beginning as the Director of Patient Accounting at Standard Medical Supply, Inc. She then served as Vice President of MBMS LLC, while simultaneously establishing MedVisible as its managing partner. Ms. Skaf then worked at NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, during which time she rose to become a Professional Consulting Manager. She went on to serve in executive leadership roles at BlueNovo, Continuum Healthcare, Core Solutions, Inc., Puyallup Surgical Consultants and Healthcare Media Marketing. Over the course of her career in the corporate sphere, Ms. Skaf earned distinction for her exemplary customer service skills and ethical fortitude as well as her professional integrity and various outstanding achievements.
Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Skaf sought a formal education at La Salle University, from which she received a Bachelor's of Arts in Chemistry. Following this accomplishment, she attended Philadelphia University several years later and graduated with a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration as well as her Integrated Health Practitioner Certification. A lifelong learner, she has demonstrated proficiency as a Certified Yoga Instructor via the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers, as well as a Certified Nutrition Counselor.
In accounting for her success, Ms. Skaf credits her intrinsic drive, ambition and passion for the work that she does. Looking toward the future, she aspires to continue her physical, emotional and spiritual journey and lead others down the same path for years to come.
