An accomplished expert in developmental testing and evaluations, as well as program management, system documentation and operational testing, Mr. Cowan presently excels as a program manager for Amyx Inc. Since joining the company in 2019, he has provided management support for deliverables and meetings, led 508 compliance testing activities and supervised requirement activities for IBMS applications. Before joining Amyx, he worked for Northrop Grumman, through which he obtained 100 percent customer acceptance with budget and deadlines, and developed test policies for DLA Enterprises, which provided guidance for more than 300 DLA systems. Likewise, Mr. Cowan managed and won two critical proposals for the United States forces in Korea.
In conjunction with his work, Mr. Cowan contributes to his community by donating to the American Cancer Society, the United Methodist Church and The Salvation Army. To remain aware of developments affecting his field, he aligns himself with such organizations as the Project Management Institute, the International Test and Evaluation Association and the Washington University Alumni Association, where he previously served as president.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Cowan earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 1994. To further his expertise in the field, he attained a graduate certificate in cyber security and program management from the University of Virginia in 2007. To commemorate his accomplishments, he received the Black Engineer of the Year Award in 2002 and was named Mr. Engineer through Washington University in St. Louis. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he attributes his success to his Christian faith, and the love and support of his family. Looking toward the future, Mr. Cowan intends to be promoted to director at Amyx.
